Account Onboarding

Getting started.

Let's get your accounts set up right in order to grant me the access I need.

Step #1: Meta Business Manager

A Meta Business Manager account connects your Facebook Page, Instagram account and Ad Account together with the ability to grant others access to all three at once to make it easier to work with people like myself.

The below link will take you to your existing Business Manager or prompt you to create one if you haven't already.

Step #2: Adding me to your Meta Business Manager

Once you've created or located your Meta Business Manager account

Step #3: Creating a Facebook Ads Account

A Facebook Ad account is required to run ads across Facebook and Instagram and this requires adding your billing details so Facebook can bill you for ad spend. Once a Meta Business Manager account has been created as above, an Ad Account can be created by finding the 'Ad accounts' from the menu on the left-hand side, clicking the blue 'Add' drop-down button and then 'Create a new ad account'.

To the right is a view of Business Portfolio Settings where you have the option to invite other People via an email address. When you add someone, you have the option to add them to any 'assets' in your Business Portfolio such as your Facebook page, Instagram account or ad account.

STEP #2: Creating a new facebook ad account
STEP #3: Linking an existing ad account
often when people set up a ne ad account, they set one up under their name and personal profile rather than their business.

While this works for them, it makes it tricky to grant others access to this ad account.

What's recommended is to add this ad account to the Business Portfolio.
STEP #4: Connecting Facebook and INstagram
Connecting your Facebook and Instagram account allows to easily copy posts from one account to the other, run the same ad across Facebook and Instagram and allows me to pull data from your Instagram account into my PDF reports.

In some cases you may see your personal Instagram account is linked to your business Facebook, this will need to be removed before connecting a different Instagram account.
